Tribute to Emmanuel Imbert – May 2025

News from En Famille International – May 2025

This newsletter is entirely dedicated to Emmanuel Imbert, as a tribute to his involvement, his kindness and the impulse he gave to our association.

🕊️    Tribute to Emmanuel Imbert

His sudden departure has left a huge void in our hearts and in our large family.
Emmanuel was more than just a director: he was the soul of our association. His communicative good mood, his permanent smile and his unfailing involvement left a mark on all of us. He brought a new energy into, unite our teams and promote our values.
He passionately led the ambassadors network and, in close collaboration with the Board of Directors, he reviewed all the administrative aspects of the association: organization files, accounting, banking and insurance. Thanks to his meticulous work, his clear vision and his determination to keep things moving forward, he totally transformed our structure.
With us, he took the helm of a boat that was sinking, and not only got it back afloat, but also launched it towards new horizons. Today, thanks to him, En Famille International is a strong association, at the same time administratively, financially and humanly. We have a team of 11 professional ambassadors who are working together, involved and forward-looking.
We continue his projects with gratitude and determination, knowing that each future success will bear his legacy.
Emmanuel will forever remain in our memeories as an inspiring leader, a dear friend whose legacy will endure beyond time.
Our deepest thoughts are with his family and friends during this paintul time.
Rest in peace, dear Emmanuel.

🧡   Our volunteers: the strength of En Famille International

An association like ours could not exist without the involvement of its volunteers. Thanks to them, their skills and the time they generously offer when they can, our mission comes to life… and truly
works! A huge thank you to all of them  💫
Today more than ever, we need reinforcements. We are looking for translators in German, English, Spanish and Italian.
We would also like to welcome volunteers to write articles for our blog. If you’re interested about sharing, writing and promoting the association, come and join us!

🌍   News from the exchanges

At the moment, 48 children are living an unforgettable exchange experience! Some have just begun their adventure in February, while others are already in the second half of their stay.
It’s for them – and for all those to come – that we keep this wonderful association alive, driven by the desire to create strong links between cultures and families.

📅 Mark your calendars!

Here are the dates of our next meetings:

  • October 11, 2025 – Germany (Düsseldorf ?)
  • October 18, 2025 – France (Toulouse)
  • October 25, 2025 – Spain (Madrid ?)

To make these meetings possible, we need your help: we’re looking for venues and volunteers at these three locations.
If you woud like to help us, please, get in touch!

🚀  What’s next…

Great thinks are ahead for En Famille International!
After a meeting at the Canadian Embassy in Paris last October, we recently had four discussions with school district officials in Alberta (Canada). These very encouraging exchanges might soon allow us to offer new trips to Canada 🍁. To be continued!
In addition, in the coming weeks we will be recruiting a new director. The profile we’re looking for? A bilingual English speaker, someone who has already experienced an exchange and is ready to get involved in this beautiful associative adventure.
